A Walk for a Good Cause: Redlands 6th Annual Believe Cancer Awareness Walk

It was a beautiful and clear morning on Sunday, October 6, 2019. With nearly over 10,000 participants in attendance just waiting to walk for a good cause.  The streets were closed off as the city prepared for the Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. This highly anticipated event has gained popularity and attention throughout the years.

For the last 6 years, the city of Redlands, CA hosts their Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. With sponsors in the Inland Empire – such as Stater Bros, Loma Linda University, Redlands Community Hospital, and more – just to name a few. These sponsors along with many more businesses have raised over 1.7 million dollars towards Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. A remarkable donation in such short time.

This walk utilizes major streets in Redlands such as; Olive St, Cajon St, Redlands Blvd and begins on the famous State St.

With live music and motivational cheer groups (provided by the various high schools in the Redlands Unified School District), attendees were motivated and entertained throughout the entire walk. At the end of the 5k walk a survivor and fighter celebration was held at Ed Hales park. This celebration had music, offered support to patients, and held educational workshops. There was even a Bark and Believe area where you can meet the furry loved ones in the community. It is safe to say that Sunday was a success!

The Law Offices of James B Church and associates have participated and donated to many local charity events. This event, in specific, is especially important to the team since each of the members know someone who has suffered or is fighting cancer.

A Word From The Team:

Our team has decided to make it a yearly tradition to attend the Believe Walk. Not only to support Breast Cancer fighters, but anyone who is affected by cancer.

In addition, one of our team members has made it a yearly tradition to collect 100 boxes (or more!) of lego’s during the holidays. These are donated to The Children’s Hospital in Orange County. This hospital provided support and care during her child’s battle with leukemia. If interested in supporting this donation and goal, please feel free to stop by the office with a lego set donation.
